It is important for students to have opportunities to engage in charity work and contribute to their local community, as this helps them develop empathy, responsibility, and a sense of connection to the world around them. By giving their time and energy to meaningful causes, students gain valuable life skills, build confidence, and learn the importance of helping others. These experiences not only support personal growth but also strengthen communities and inspire a lifelong commitment to making a positive difference.
Local Charity
Our school has strong links with local businesses, charities, and organisations. We regularly take part in fundraising events, including cake sales for Children in Need and the Macmillan Coffee Morning. At Christmas, students contribute donations to Maidstone Food Bank, supporting families within our community.
National Charities
We aim to nurture compassionate citizens who understand the importance of giving back. By supporting national initiatives such as Red Nose Day, students learn how these organisations make a difference to people’s lives across the country and around the world.
Local Community
We are committed to strengthening our relationship with the local community. As part of our environmental pledge, students have taken part in a community litter-pick. In addition, KS3 students have planted trees through the Big Tree Project, led by local councillor Bill Banks.
