Staplehurst school

At TRS we also offer education at our hospital school, this sits within the Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital at Staplehurst.  All inpatients from KS3 to KS5 attend education at the school with the aim of continuing their education and integrating back to an educational placement on discharge from hospital. 

Young people join classes at any time of the year dependent on their admission to hospital.  Our small and nurturing environment supports young people to engage with their education and develop useful life skills during their hospital stay.

The education timetable runs alongside the Occupational Therapy timetable at the hospital allowing the students to have a structured day of education and therapies.
