Vision / Intent
At The Rosewood School, the Physical Education department is committed to promoting lifelong participation in physical activity and developing healthy, active lifestyles for all pupils. We believe Physical Education plays a vital role in improving physical health, emotional wellbeing, resilience, confidence and social development.
Our curriculum is ambitious, inclusive and personalised to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Through carefully planned experiences, pupils are encouraged to develop competence, confidence and enjoyment in a broad range of physical activities. We place strong emphasis on pupil voice, engagement and wellbeing, ensuring that activities are meaningful, motivating and accessible to every learner.
The PE curriculum at The Rosewood School is designed to:

The Curriculum
Key Stage 3 (Y7, 8, 9)
Pupils in Years 7, 8, 9 receive two hours of Physical Education each week. The curriculum is adapted to suit individual needs, interests and abilities whilst maintaining high expectations for all learners.
Pupils experience a broad and balanced curriculum including:
