Referral decisions
Once a decision has been made the referral manager at TRS will email the referring school, hospital or local authority.
The provision allocated will be assigned and the Inclusion Manager from the allocated school will contact the family to organise a visit. The pupil will then be given a start date, closure date and timetable. Initial assessments will then take place to identify any interventions outside of the curriculum that will support the pupil.
From the start date the pupil will be dual registered between the referring school and TRS. The referring school must not remove the pupil from their roll; at TRS we do not single roll.
The Inclusion Manager and the family are likely to be in regular communication to support transition. The first formal review will take place at 6 weeks and will take place with the referring school.
